Welcome to our Voting Service, for clients holding stock registered in our nominee companies

How does the Voting System work?

• This service enables any client holding shares registered in the name of a Brewin Dolphin (BD) nominee company to instruct us how to vote these shares.
• Clients that are CREST Personal Members may not use the service, but can vote in their own right as registered shareholders.
• Through this site, clients can vote at AGMs and EGMs of companies that accept votes through CREST. To vote on AGMs and EGMs of companies that do not accept votes through CREST, please contact your investment manager or usual RBC Brewin Dolphin contact.
• We will post voting forms on this website when companies publish details of their AGMs or EGMs. Voting forms can be found by clicking the appropriate Company link above.
• In most instances, voting closes 7 working days before the meeting date.
• Clients holding shares via a BD nominee in the company, or their authorised agents, will have approximately three weeks to cast their votes online from when voting opens.
• Clients do not have to vote on every resolution.
• We will ignore votes if the client does not hold the shares via a BD nominee when voting.
• If we receive more than one vote for the same client code, we will accept the most recent vote and disregard all previous votes.
• For those holdings that clients do not vote on (and over which we have discretion), we may then decide to vote as we think best. Please refer to our Stewardship Policy for further details about when we do and don’t vote.
• Where we or a client votes, we will post the total of such votes cast (both for and against, as well as any abstentions) on this webpage after the meeting. Please note that our results webpage shows the total of how the shares held in our BD nominee company were cast (i.e., the sum total of how we voted (if we did vote) and how our clients voted).
• Historic results can be viewed using the search functionality below; if you experience any problems viewing historic information, please contact your investment manager or usual RBC Brewin Dolphin contact.

Annual Report Service

• RBCBD clients can request company information online (such as annual reports) by clicking here. The other way to obtain corporate information and keep yourself up to date with the performance of your investments is to visit the Investor Relations section of the relevant company’s website. You should also be able to request a hard copy annual report or an alert to the electronic version through the company’s website.
